Longer stated wireless range (400 ft vs. 330 ft) and can run fully standalone without the app. Fewer sensor types than the WS-2902 — no solar/UV.

Which one to pick

If your sensor needs to sit far from the house (a detached garage, back corner of a large yard), La Crosse's longer stated range is the more directly relevant spec. If you want solar/UV readings on top of the basics and don't mind the shorter range, the WS-2902 covers more ground sensor-wise. Neither manufacturer page states an outdoor operating temperature range or a warranty length as of 2026-09-18 — check the current listing before buying if either matters to you (NEEDS_SOURCE: not confirmed here).
